Each day, thousands of visitors flock to the Anhui Pavilion, which is one of the 31 Chinese provincial and autonomous regional pavilions inside the China Pavilion.
Art performances, parades and exhibitions will be held during the week to introduce Anhui's culture, history, products and economic development to Expo visitors, said Gao Hongmei, director of the Anhui Pavilion.
After visiting Anhui Pavilion on Wednesday, Peng Ziliang wrote in the visitor's book: "Anhui Pavilion is excellent", while Wang Dejun, penned: "Anhui, I love you."
"People really like the pavilion and a lot of visitors like to leave a message in the book," said Li Ming, an employee at Anhui Pavilion.
Anhui Pavilion started its decorations on Jan 15 this year and finished work on April 16 in time for the trial run, according to Anhui Pavilion chief architect Ai Xinsheng.
Anhui Pavilion chief designer Xu Qiang said the pavilion, themed "without a Huizhou businessman, there will be no towns", is a grand hall offering knowledge of the flourishing province's past, present and future.
The 600-square-meter hall follows the unique Hui-style architecture, creating a harmonious composition of ancient Chinese buildings. The exterior of the pavilion uses a Barrisol curtain wall with rectangular fenders inside to absorb daylight, so as to create the effect of a typical Hui-style building that can easily stand out among other pavilions.
The other exhibition area, "Colorful City", showcases a round theater where visitors can see a 7-minute audio and visual presentation.
The Anhui Pavilion includes two main exhibition zones. The first zone, named "Anhui Impression", focuses on the historical impact of the Hui culture highlighted by its intrinsic philosophy of harmony and innovation in modern life.
