According to officials at the Shenzhen Airport Frontier Defense Inspection Station, the number of flights from Shenzhen to Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung in Taiwan will be increased 27 per week, with most departing during the day.
According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, in 2009 Shenzhen airport handled 24.49 million passengers, making it the fifth busiest airport in the country.
The airport new operates two to four round flights between Shenzhen and Taipei. Flights from Shenzhen and Taichung are operated every Wednesday and Saturday, while flights to Kaohsiung leave every Thursday and Sunday
