The pagoda towers located in Nong'an Town of Nong'an County, 70 kilometers northwest of Changchun. Nong'an County was formed about 2,000 years ago.This pagoda was built in the Liao Dynasty, from A.D. 983 to A.D. 1030. It is a solid bricked pagoda. It is an octagonal 13-floored construction, as high as 40 meters.
It is a representative ancient pagoda. There are delicated brick carvings and bucket arches under each eaves. Under the eaves of pagoda are Aeolian bells, often producing sounds.There are eight doors on each wall. The pagoda shrunk at each layer until it became a peak to heaven. In 1953, fund was allocated to give the ancient pagoda an overall renovation.
